Well, what a summer! It's not only been one of the hottest summers in years, but it's felt like the longest; and although we aren't wishing away the final few weeks, we are getting a bit excited to welcome the cool breeze of autumn, along with all of our favourite colours in the canopies, Halloween and Bonfire night, hot chocolate and...did I say I'm not wishing summer away? :)
But another reason we love Autumn is because it's an excellent time to start planting some new trees/shrubs. When planting trees and shrubs, people mostly focus on what will look good in summer, however, why not keep the colour for another few months after summer and plant some autumnal favourites.
We're going to give you our 5 top trees that look great in Autumn:
Last week, we were working for Horsell Common Preservation Society, maintaining the trees along the roadside, reducing some over hanging branches and deadwooding, then chipping straight back into the common. We do this a few times throughout the year, to help keep the road safer.
What a transformation. All finished before 11am this morning by some of our guys in Woking. They've turned a previously overgrown and busy front garden into an attractive and clean looking space, allowing so much more light into the house.
Job well done Lads!
